Introduction : What is handy phone

The handy phone, available in 25,000 hotel rooms across Hong Kong and 12,000 in Singapore, welcomes travelers with the promise of convenience and independence.


Functioning as a local phone, it enables free local calls (like reaching a restaurant in a maze-like mall), while its custom Android software offers unlimited data, Google Maps for seamless navigation, and a curated guide to must-see attractions.


Beyond that, Handy lets you book tickets—whether it’s for Hong Kong Disneyland or other experiences—perfect for planning your next adventure while savoring dim sum or exploring the bustling city streets.

Problems

Product managers went to senior designer and bring up the situation from the hotel clients - they need to send out message from hotel managers side to hotel guests.

The traditional way was to call the inline to their handy phone. However, hotels side think it might be disturbing their guests .

Opportunities

Apart from sending important messages from hotel side to the guest, it can also see as an marketing tools to deliver hotel offers and discount to the guests during their stay.
